Activity: Attend Church at Gospel Outreach Ministries (Empire Theater)

It is always a good thing to attend church on Sundays.  I enjoy myself although some people think that church is this boring place where you sing softly and meditate a lot and just stand and sit.  No, for me church is a place where I go to hear a word from God.  Don’t get me wrong, I get a word from God even when I am not at church, but one has to realize that this was ordained of God that we can congregate together and encourage one another through the words of a song, scripture, the message or even just a mere greeting from a church brother or sister.  So many times people come to church with burdens, pains, troubles that they feel they cannot share with anyone.  But God knows this and even just a hug can help to heal a wound or a word as ‘I was praying for you’, ‘You have been on my mind’, ‘I love you’, can make a world of a difference.  The bible also says in Hebrews 10:5

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…

so I also do it in obedience to the word of God.  One has to realize nothing happens by chance and without God’s knowledge as St. John 1:3 says

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

I don’t go to look at what people wear or to be entertained, I go to offer up praises to God from a true heart which is not only for Sundays, but any day in the week.  One thing I know for sure…Oh how Jesus love me !!
